What is PPE?
The term “PPE” is something we have come accustom to hearing lately due to the recent pandemic that is happening in the world. Many are asking, “What exactly is PPE”? PPE stands for Personal Protective Equipment. It is worn to minimize exposure to hazards that cause serious workplace injuries and illnesses. There are many different variations of PPE that can be worn depending on the severity of the situation. Check out the OSHA website to learn more about the different types that can be worn.
The importance of PPE:
- Protect workers from threat of viral pathogens in the area
- Protect area from potential contamination by our workers
- Protect from harmful contaminants in water or particulates in the air during fire restoration, water mitigation, and COVID-19 cleaning.
